Having waited for nearly three weeks for Lesley and dean to return from there amazing American adventure honeymoon i can at last put up some of their amazing pictures from one of my favorite weddings of the year, Lesley and deans Christmas wedding which was held at the prestigious Colwick Hall, near Nottingham which is a Nottingham Wedding Photographers Dream venue. The temperature on the day was -5 but and snow and ice covered the ground but Lesley was a real star and we got some great shots outside.

Haven't been on the blog for a couple of weeks and was gonna have a nosey at the wedding and fashion pics as I usually do. But I came across these and they're so different to the other photos I've seen on the blog. Words cannot describe how amazing these pictures are. A million miles away from the pictures of babies posing in buckets and santa hats in Boots I'm used to seeing. Simply gorgeous.

Wow a sensational year is over and a brand new one beckons, i have set many goals for 2010 for my personal and professional lives but if i can get praise like this from my clients in 2010 then it is all worth while.

Bec and Ryan were a FAB couple below is there thankyou email they sent me!!

"We are so glad we chose Karl!

After seeing his stunning wedding photography online, we just had to meet up with him. His laid back manner filled us with confidence that he would be just what we needed for our special day.
Our budget was tight but we decided to spend most of it on the wedding photographs and we are so happy we did.

From the moment Karl walked through the door on the big day he made such a huge impact. Such a lovely, creative guy that helped keep everyone in check - not an easy task to say the least!

We were quite nervous about doing the private session as we hadn't really done anything like it before but Karl gave great direction and we got some fabulous shots.

Once we had the proofs, we had the hardest decision of all to make, choosing the images we wanted in our album. We managed it eventually and left Karl to design a masterpiece of an album. He did us proud! The only word to describe the end product is SENSATIONAL! Something we will treasure forever, no way is this baby getting put under the bed to gather dust!

Thanks for everything Karl, you have been truly wonderful and will come highly recommended.

Rebecca & Ryan "

with only one Wedding left in 2009 i am posting more and more of my studio work for all to see and i am amazed by all the emails asking for advise and enquiring as to whether i teach other photographers studio lighting and posing techniques, as of march 2010 i will be doing so on a one to one basis for a select number of other photographers, so keep the emails coming and i will endeavor to answer all the questions you ask.

My fine art nude work is also becoming very popular for clients in Nottingham and UK wide, it is all very tasteful and for those who do not like you are are looking at it in the wrong way. The female and male body are in essence a thing of natural beauty and when lit correctly look amazing.

Hope you all like...

Norman Rubenis says:

Yes....WOW. What an amazing set of images. Tastefully posed, beautifully lit, just the right amount of post production and not over artworked. It just goes to show what can be done with the right ingredients and loads of skill and mastery of studio lighting.

Your wedding work is good, but I really think this is your true calling. A great set (again). How does he do it???

Can't wait for the next instalment.

Norman.
