I had an email earlier today from one of my brides from 2008 and it moved me so much i am going to share it with you all. It sometimes takes an email like this to put in focus what we actually do for a living, we capture the most important event in a couples lives and we as wedding photographers are incredibly privledged to be part of it so Caroline and Gary I also thank-you for allowing me to be there.Below are a few pics from the rain soaked but fabulous day, I should also mention it was the best speech by two of the funniest best men i have ever heard but so embarrasing for poor old Gary (Borat) sykes....

Hi Karl its Caroline Sykes (nee Simpson)-wedding last July @ Clumber. Remember...chaos with un-cooperative kids (and parents)-rain in Clumber Park- and definitely NO pictures of shoes...?!! ha ha.. Hope you are well.
Sorry it's amazingly late and I know you spoke to Gary but wanted to say how much we LOVE the album and other pics so much-they are perfect.
In hindsight Gary and I can't believe we picked one of the most stressful periods in our life to finally get married. And despite the day being quite stressful for various reasons we are so glad we found you through Google and that you took us away from the chaos for our pics in Clumber Park. We couldnt have wished for better pics of our wedding day. So thank you.
When (if!) we have some spare cash we would love to do a shoot with the kids (as you suggested) especially now Ollie is walking and definitely before the kids curls drop out, Gary's hair drops out completely and the bags under my eyes-not to mention everything else-drop even further!!! I am also still thinking about trashing my wedding dress-perhaps not with fire though eh Karl....
We are telling everyone we can about how fabulous you are-hope you continue to do well and hopefully speak to you soon...
