Its been a while since my last post, been absolutely swamped with processing and preparing work for the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photographers) they had there annual image competetion last night, and whoopee i scooped the top prize of BIPP Midlands Professional Photographer of the year, as well as:
2010 Fashion Photographer of the year
2010 Portrait Photographer of the year
2010 Under 5's Photographer of the year
then these went through to the final judging where my fashion image won overall pro photographer of the year 2010, images are below.
I achieved a total of 10 awards with 1st merits and merits so a great year.

This image won the Fashion Photographer of the year 2010 and then went through to the judging for the over all title and with it i scooped the title of Midlands Professional Photographer of the year 2010

After weeks of planning it is over..... and after a massive removal operation to get all the gear i need to do a live shoot in a conference room, then do an evening seminar on my fashion work and then a talk on how i shoot weddings (wow some sleep time now) it went superbly well, my heart was pounding most of the time as it is my first on this scale, but the 30 delegates that attended all said they were inspired with a renewed enthusiasm, i have never shook so many hands in one day, awesome, loved it all, planning more to come and after some of the emails i have received today in thanks the sooner the better, i have put a few below... some pics were taken of my prancing about but they will be added later....
Thanks to all that attended for your kind words it made it all worth while...and a special thankyou to Charlotte my Model for the event...

Thanks for a great day with BIPP yesterday! I came home wanting to shoot a wedding today, so I must have been INSPIRED by your slideshow !
It would be great to see you shooting a wedding couple at the next similar type of event. I'd been keeping my eyes open at the different light in the hotel wondering where we'd go , so it would be good to see your angle on it.

Just got back from a sensational day full of ideas, inspiration, excitement, enthusiasm..... my head is buzzing with ideas and I now feel that after today I can really feel excited about starting to shoot weddings again.
Your work has really inspired me, made me think, made me realise that wedding can be fun and exciting to shoot. I think as a photographer, you have to do it for yourself just as much as for the client, more so in fact. Without the enthusiasm and the wanting to push and do stuff for the portfolio, there really is no point in going any further.
Thank you so much for a great day. I was looking forward to seeing more of your work, but didn't expect it to be that good! Great shot after great shot, WOW!

Hi Karl,
Just a quick note to say thanks for the seminar yesterday. I fully enjoyed it and came away with some new ideas. Please keep me informed if you plan on having anymore social gatherings etc.

here are the pics as promised, remember all you picky pro,s out there this is not in ideal conditions, some things may look a bit wonky(blck flgs etc) but working on carpet with temp hard floor and paper on top, but it was an awesome day.
now you see the amount of gear i had to take, and the 50inch plasma, ive had requests to take the demo i did on tour, so watch this space

I'm sure that all attendees were able to come away with renewed enthusiasm and inspiration demonstrated by Your's / Charlotte's energetic delivery. Those of us that have practiced for many years were still able to take strength from each others skills and the way the individual styles shine through.
