I Had the pleasure of shooting Joe and Nicks family portraits with there two children last week, it was great fun, they decided to have a second session after seeing one of my wall portraits in the studio, and i hope you agree they look fabulous together, they have both never had there picture taken before so well done to them and just below is a few pics of there amazing children.

I was talking to a few colleagues yesterday from Birmingham who made a comment that why has Nottingham got so many awesome Professional Photographers, I thought nothing of it at the time, but they were right as cities go we have got some of the best photographers in all genres, why? i have no idea but it is great to be part of it. Long live Nottingham pro Photographers

I recently did a fashion promo shoot at the Bluu bar in Nottingham , this is a great bar and restaurant in the lace market in Nottingham, it is the place where i meet some of my wedding clients before we do our E-shoot, the shot is a bit provocative but i love it...and so do they

for those who follow this blog you may have noticed that blog posts have been a little sparse lately , this is mainly because the wedding season is all but closed down with just four left this year , this blog was intended from it inception to be about me and my photographic life but it took the shape of my wedding blog, but from now on all my work and life is going to be on the blog from my fashion work, my portraits, even my love of all things abstract will be here, i will also be having guest posts from various sectors of the photo world.

first off these are a few shots from a recent shoot with an upcoming model who came all the way upto the studio from Birmingham, it was our first shoot together, and i think Lindsey did great.

Sorry for delay in posting, been having minor server issues and we are swamped at studio with our fantastic wedding clients. i am working on last weekends weddings with my left hand and processing my Fashion work with my right, who said men cant multi task, but im not  a man yet so my wife informs me, Julie tells me when im 40 i will be a man.

I am still finding time in the studio to keep up my fashion and beauty work between my hectic Wedding schedule, these few shots were taken at a model consult i had with a Stephanie and although not perfect they are not half bad for such a young inexperienced model on her 1st shoot. Steph is starting photography college in September and she will also be assisting me on shoots as there is nothing better than hands on experience, since the start of 2009 my Nottingham model portfolio shoots have been going really well with models coming from London, Birmingham etc to have an iLifebeauty photo shoot.

For the photographers out there these were taken with my latest toy, a Fresnel spot which is awesome, this was the main light in a three light setup, they were taken with the D3x.

I recently had the pleasure of shooting Anna as an update to her portfolio, she wanted something a bit different and after seeing some of my work on facebook she decided to come over to the studio to see if we could make some FAB images, there are more to come but time is short so here is the first installment, yet another sucessfull iLifebeauty portfolio shoot.

More weddings posts coming soon, got a big one this weekend at Nottingham Cathedral and after that they want a city centre wedding shoot which should be a blast with a huge audience of shoppers etc, keep an eye out for some of the images from the shoot....
